waiting

God most often than not place us in a season of waiting before revealing to us His great plan for us.
Sometimes its tough because we don't really know what to do, but then i realized that most of the time even when we are clueless, as we seek Him he just shows us how He is preparing us. And many time to remind us that its not by our strength but His provision we obtain the dreams and desires he first placed in our hearts. Its true, i feel that too, that sometimes those desires and dreams can turn selfish, and eat me up, and i do thank Him for humbling me each time.

This verse has been speaking to me since last week,

'And the Lord said to Gideon, " The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying ' My own hand has saved me, ' -Judges 6:36

( There were 22 000 men/armies with Gideon, and they were reduced to 300 men. In the end none of the 300 men had to draw their sword to defeat the enemy as God delivered the Midians into their hands. )

In this story, God told Gideon that he is going to save Isreal from the hands of the Midianites. He answered the Lord saying " O my Lord, how can I save Isreal? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house." And the Lord said, " Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man." Its from Judges 6 - 8. All i can say is,

Our God is truly mighty to save.

It just reminds me that, my life is in God's hand and nothing is a coincidence and God's glory will be revealed. And have great faith! Even if its starts as tiny as a mustard seed! That He is the great provider and protector. And that He just wants us to trust Him in every circumstances :)  In all my weakness, His strength will be on display.

'But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.' - 1 Corinthians 1:27

I don't know much about the future, i may get impatient at times, i may stumble, But i know He will never leave me nor forsake me and always lift me back up. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life! : )

and now, i shall leave you with this wonderful poem,

Not for one single day
Can I discern my way,
But this I surely know,
Who gives the day,
Will show the way,
So I securely go.
